Atlanta - 2007 Primerica Convention....

So I am 100 percent convinced that ones success in this business truly rests with themselves. After watching over 250 RVP's (usually where the 6-figure income starts) walk across the stage for their promotion, I was amazed how there was every walk of life, race, gender, and age. Ranging from college drop-outs in their lower 20's to elders in their 60's! Anybody can make a million dollars in this business. There's currently 2,324 people making over 100,000. 167 over 500,000 and 59 million dollar earners. Just 7 years ago these #'s where half.

A RVP contract can be compared to a "Broker" in real-estate... in which if he sells a house, he gets all 6% of the proceeds. ($6,000) However, if he hires and trains agents which J.C. Nichols did (over 3000 of them) and the agent sells the house, he gets a 3% override. So if a $1o0k house was sold, the agent gets 3 grand, and the broker gets the other 3 grand of 3%, even if he was on a beach.

Alot of these newly promoted RVP's had only been in the business for 2-3 years. Where else can you go, put your head down and work hard for a few years, and be done for the rest of your life? Granted, these RVP's are going to "Push People Up" and get them to RVP, so they can go out and run their own show as well. But there is where real-estate and Primerica differ so much, in real-estate a Agent will get tired of working for his/her broker and decide that he/she wants to become a broker so they can have the freedom they watched the broker have. So they will open up their own real-estate shop across the street and become direct competition. The old broker will receive NOTHING off of that agent that became a Broker.

In this business, you get paid 6 generations deep.
